The ASMPT Sunbird Test Handler Nozzle acts as the vacuum end effector for the Sunbird turret test sorting platform. It directly touches packaged chips to complete picking, transfer and placement across multi-station workflow via controlled vacuum pressure.
Fabricated from wear-resistant precision ceramic, this nozzle minimizes surface scratches on delicate DFN, QFN and discrete components. Worn or clogged nozzles commonly cause pick failures, chip slippage and UPH fluctuation. Installing properly matched nozzles stabilizes component handling and lowers scrap rates during high-volume backend test and sorting.
